About the 4th of July dance in the HGHS Gym. I would like to know what happened to the air that the $50.00 donations were for, and the band that was suppose to be there? It was very hot in the place although there were fans going. People's hair sweated out, it was very uncomfortable. Some people left and went to the club. Bad advertisement.
Stop complaining about things that you don't want to do anything about. Just be thankful that you were able to attend you did grow up with air conditioning.
What make you think that I don't want to do anything about it? If I spend money there, I have the right to know. Do you have something to hide? That's why no one want to help you all. You need to learn to take criticism and better yourself or the situation, that's what make the world go round. I'm sure you made a typo when you said , "you did grow up with air conditioning," you were probably trying to say I didn't grow up with air conditioning. If that's what you're trying to say, how do you know what I grew up with? However, that is not the point, the point is stop advertising something you can't present or atleast have the decency to answer people's questions. Bad business.
1. Who are you? Identify yourself. I like to know who I'm talking to. 2. Did you make a donation? If not, why comment on the efforts? (I'm CONFIDENT you did not. If so, you would know what we were doing with the $50.) $10 entry fee does not COUNT. 3. The $50 donations were used to put on the dance (and kids festival) as a FUNDRAISER to help with future cost of air conditioning. Not bad advertisement, just the truth. Don't worry. Funds were raised and AIR is coming. (Luckily we didn't count on your $50.) And, we gave EVERYONE option to check things out and DECIDE if "she" wanted to stay or go. Looks like you stayed................Interesting........... 4. Why hate? This is the very reason we can't get anything done. You have HG roots and can see what we are trying to do (obviously if you were at the dance). 6. We are on a mission to save HG and the kids that are there. I can only HOPE you will get involved in this effort. 7. Hairspray helps to hold your hair, so don't worry about the sweat. . If you are HOT, it didn't matter anyway. You can be LIVE regardless. Just a tip.

Oh, so you got the money? Just what I thought. Also you are the second anonymous. There's another reason why a lot of people wouldn't help. You act as if you are in charge of the world to think no one has an opinion but you. All you needed to do was answer the questions when first asked. You first throw out rude and offensive remarks before you answer simple questions. I apologize if I was wrong about the band, but it was posted on facebook that you did have air. I don't need hair spray I need air.

1.No I'm not 2nd anonymous. No need for me to disguise. I don't know anything about you so I can not comment on your "air" situation. I just got the joke the "2nd Anonymous" was trying to convey. What's bad is your comments don't have a name to them so they could be addressed to a person's name and not to someone who is obviously afraid to stand behind their comments! I guess if all of my information was wrong I wouldn't want people to know my name either unless I was trying to put salt on a good effort that was given by all that was involved. So let me verify what Boosie stated earlier! The band was something separate from the donations that we asked -- Mayor Tyler was trying to incorporate a band from Texas in the parade and if I am not mistaken the amount that she asked was $100.00 maybe your name was on her list too! The band didn't come because the school needed more time to prepare so keep your money for next year! Yes, the gym was hot but people with common sense knows that a gym that size takes more than 15 to 20 people donating $50 to install a unit -- I'll let you do the math to figure out how much we raise multiply 50X15 and 50X20 to get the amount of money that was raised! I can't be specific about the number at this time but it will come at a later date. The inflatables were over $525.oo the rental of chairs was over $250.00 the DJ over $250.00 and Fans that were flown from California was over $2500 and I am not going to include the decorations! As you can see we spent our time, our money and our effort to make something happen in the Grove that was exciting to the children and the adults and this is the type of posting that we get! One rule of thumb if you are going to give constructive criticism try to find something positive to say! I heard that people that attended Preachers club was faced with the same dilema , the sweating of the hair and he has a/c! Thank you for your comments and I look forward to you stating your name the next time you give your so called constructive criticism!
I guess folks didn't know what it cost to put on a nice event - without AIR! NO $$ out of their pockets but $10. For us............$$$$$$$$$$$. Some folks just don't understand that.
Hopefully, that will be our next year goal. AIR! I don't want my hair to sweat.
Hey Boosie, When you have good hair it just curls up and wait for the the dryer to straighten it back out! Maybe this person's hair rolled up and sat down the reason the hair is the issue! LOL
You guys are crazy, but on the real, I must say that the 4th of July in HOlly Grove was the best I have seen in years. There were a lot of people having a good time. I must admit the gym was "hot" but so was other places, its a start to know you don't want to go to "HELL," and that's what Holly Grove is going to, without the help of the people who see a need. I commend the people who wanted to bring something to HG other than a lot of people home with nothing to do. I sweated in that gym along with many others, but as we can see it was all in good effort, but they needed more people to work other than to talk, if you feel you have all the answers or could have done this better, then they need you on the committee. My pastor always say "Minister out of your Misery." We should commend the people for stepping up to the plate and putting their time and effort into making sure you had a good time. Everything didn't go as planned but its the effort that count. Now, whoever you are anonymous, you see the need, now get in where you fit in and lets make the Mega Reunion 2010 a even better one. Do you know someone who is willing to put air in the gym or would you like to donate to a good cause. It's time out for tearing down one another but instead we should build up. Thank you miss Hampton for giving people a break down of funds. Now, next time maybe more people will donate when they know what's going on. After all the message that was posted in facebook is what people expected. I could care less about all the other sarcastic and ignorant comments and the chasing of your tails, going in cirlces. Who cares about that, just a simple explanation does the trick. Oh, preacher's club is where the happenings were. As I said before, miss boots need to learn how to talk to people. All she needed to do is what you just did give an explanation, that is common sense. People are entitled to give their opinion, after all she does. Good, go right on show off next year, that's the problem all you all think about is showing off. That's why you won't get no where, no one is looking for show off just for what is offered and expected. We worked hard and did not get a chance to spend much time with our family and friends, Boosie's class reunion was this year and she didn't miss a beat with helping me. I do not need your thanks because the information posted was not for your benefit but was for the people that donated to a cause or should I say the REAL GROWN FOLKS! Grow up just grow up and come together that is the biggest problem now. People don't want to grow up. Always wanting to critize someone, not wanting to come together and lended a helping hand. Stop being critical an become helpful. If you see it is broke do what you can to fix it.
